NEW YORK

» It's so big! «

I was practically speechless the whole cab drive from the airport to our Airbnb. And it wasn’t because of the terrible jet lag, but because I was awestruck by the fact that the city really existed. And it was way better, more enormous, colorful and interesting than I imagined and seen on favourite TV Series so many times. From afar, the big buildings look like a wall that protects some well-kept secrets, inviting you to imagine the endless possibilities that the heart of NYC has to offer. However inside, the story unfolds and you just have to give in to it.

» Get a taste of the Big Apple «

A very good way to learn the City’s culture is by eating your way to it. New York is one of the most culturally diverse cities on the planet. You can find anything from Italian appetizing dishes to delicious Dim Sum to incredible mouth-watering burgers. The best pasta that I had so far (in my life) was in a small Italian sports bar/restaurant. And an unforgettably tasty lunch was on some steps near a foodstal. Just trust your instincts and try everything. You won’t forget it in New York!

» Wow, the people! «

After noticing the dazzling skyscrapers, the big flashing billboards, the Brooklyn Bridge, the MoMa Museum or the Statue of Liberty, you see the people. New York is home to the most interesting, eccentric, fascinating, curious-looking people. Beyond the fact that so many cultures are brought together, each individual is exceptionally different from the others regarding his looks, style, moves and attitude. Wandering the streets of Manhattan, you suddenly feel in a well-coordinated theater play and everyone is a distinct well-defined character.
